Automatic folder creation and duplication of pictures

transferring files between windows 7 to windows 8.1. Using either sync or drag and drop. Using the Bravura software. However it duplicates all my files twice and put both the images in its own folder (originally there was no folder). I have to manually delete all the duplicated files. Any idea how to fix this duplication?
