Can't send Emails.

Just set up the configurator to run two different yahoo managed accounts. IMAP is working for folders and inbound Emails, but I can't send emails using Windows Live 2011. Seems to be set up correctly. Any thoughts on where to start?

  • Here are some things to make sure you have set correctly:

    Outgoing smtp server: smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
    Port: 465
    Protocol: SSL
    Also, check the checkbox for "This server requies authentication"
  • That's the way it is currently set. Any other ideas?

    Error Message:

    Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

    Server: "smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk"
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 465
    Secure(SSL): Yes
  • Can you try these other Yahoo smtp servers:

    smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au
    smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    smtp.mail.yahoo.ca
