Emails won't send

I've been using the Yahoo IMAP Connector for over a month and it was working great. A few days ago it stopped sending emails. To my knowledge I did not change anything in the configuration or on my email account. Incoming emails still work fine. When Outlook tries to Send and Receive, it pops up a dialog box (and again every few seconds even if I close or cancel it) titled "Internet E-mail - *my yahoo account name*", asking me to enter my user name and password for the following server: smtp.mail.yahoo.ca

The username and password showing (and that I've tried re-entering) appears to be correct. It works when I log on to yahoo web mail. It also appears to be working for incoming mail, which I can receive just fine.

Your help would be greatly appreciated as my outgoing emails are stacking up! Thanks.
